Old School Archive - Rick Griffin Posters

Wow! Ever hear about the late Rick Griffin? Back in the day, he used to spend time hangin' out at Cal State University, Long Beach. Fine Art scholars Mike Mendez and Tom Krumpak can recollect times when he had art exhibits at the campus art gallery. "Far out!" and "Beautiful" were a few comments. Rick's art has inspired a whole new generation of artists. See for yourself. A friend of Max Wave sent these in to share. He saved the original movie posters that were posted at the movie screenings, circa 1976. Clicking on the image opens a larger image on a new page.

Surf School
Private and semi-private lessons can be scheduled year round, 7days per week. A 24-hour advance notice is best. The summer camp is going to be from middle of June until the end of August. Learn to surf at the warm, sandy beaches of Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. Special "Excursion" trips are also being planned again for this season.
